Everyday is a new adventure. Everyday there is a new story to be told. I just so happen to blog whenever Mr. Dykstra tells me to. A huge thanks to my followers. You're great!

Mohawk Danzers
Well it was that time of year again, when you try out for a sport or team you want to be apart of, and this year I tried out for Mohawk Danzers. I have never tried out so this was a first. We had to learn tricks, a pom, and a hip hop routine. You need a lot of determination and a lot of skill to actually tryout. Many girls go to the practices and then never come to tryouts, but I worked with my of my good friend Abbi the whole way through. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday was all work for me. I would get up, go to school, practice until 10:15, and then go to bed. Saturday I woke up, ate, and practiced until 12:46. Sunday were the tryouts. I was number five and second group to go in. This is probably the hardest tryout I will ever do in high school. It took a lot of concentration, memorization, and skill, (which I thought I lacked in all 3 catagories.) After tryouts it was about six something, I went home and waited. I didn't talk to anybody and I could hardly eat my food. I have bruises on my shoulder from doing a freeze position, and a bruise on my left knee from going down on it so many times. Eight o'clock is when the results are posted on the Middle School doors. I got there at 8:17. A group of girls were already standing there and Abbi was just walking away. She looked happy but then she saw me and said, "I'll walk with you..." Trust me it didn't sound like good news at all! I walk up, she's holding my hand and all the girls turn away while I frantically look for my name....and there it was. I have never been so glad to see my name on a list in my sixteen years of life! I started crying! They took my picture and they gave me a huge hug. It was a tough weekend but I'm glad I worked that hard. It really paid off in the end.

I liked tryout outs this year. This is going to sound a little catty but tryouts were easier this year. They were still difficult and extremly stressing. That's how tryouts go anyways. Way to go, Amanda! You really worked hard and I'm glad we're on the team together. :)
